Monski Mouse started performing in 1992 as an on-camera reporter for art-school community TV group, SCAT in Adelaide, Australia.
Monski Mouse was born in Adelaide, Australia, she lived in Sydney for seven years and currently resides in London, UK.
Monski Mouse is married to international street performer, magician and comedian Tony Roberts, they have two children together, Monalisa born in 2010 and baby Humphrey born in 2014.
Monski Mouse produced several series of arts-chat-shows for community TV interviewing underground artists and performers at festivals. Shows included: All Over The Shop, Warning: Art Has Been Known To Stimulate Brain Cells and, The Monski Mouse Show.
Monski Mouse launched her signature parents and children’s dance event, Baby Disco Dance Hall in 2012 at the Adelaide Fringe in a sold-out debut season. The show has toured internationally and is currently playing a London residency over the summer at the Southbank Centre.
Monski Mouse has a Degree in Visual Art and studied performance at the Ecole Philippe Gaulier in Paris, and worked in early childhood theatre with Cate Fowler.
Monski Mouse performed over sixty Baby Disco Dance Hall shows in nine cities in the UK and Australia while pregnant with her second child in 2014. This shot is from the Demontfort Hall dressing room.
Monski Mouse gave birth at home to baby Humphrey in Oct 2015, and was back at the DJ decks just one month later at London’s iconic venue, Wilton’s Music Hall.
ABOUT
Monski Mouse has performed as a DJ for arts festivals, clubs and events in Australia and the UK. Her first DJ gigs were a self-produced night called Club Mouse at Sydney’s Hollywood Hotel in 2003.
Monski Mouse has performed an extended season of Baby Disco Dance Hall at the London Wonderground on London’s iconic Southbank for the last three years. She is back in 2016!
